The college has opened the unit of NCC in the College under 7 Assam Battalion with Central Govt Sponsorhip.Dr Umesh Das ,Assistant Professor,Department of Assamese is working as CTO.
NSS
The college has introduced the NSS Unit under Gauhati University. Mr Anawrul Alom Sarkar, Assistant Professor,Department of Philosophy is working as Programme Officer.
BHARAT SCOUTS & GUIDES, ASSAM
Chilarai College has Bharat Scouts & Guides Unit. Mr Pinaki Ray(Asstt. Prof. Management Studies) and Mrs Nirmala Roy(Assistant Professor of Assamese) are the In-Charge .Bharat Scouts & Gudies helps students to learn extra co-curricular activities and build their career through Rajyapal and Rastrapati Awaard.
PRAMATHESH CH. BARUA FILM CLUB
Chilarai College is the only college in the district to have opened a Film Club dedicated to viewing of good film, organizing symposium and discussion on film and film personalities,developing a library of film studies and introducing students to the world cinema.Film is fast becoming a part of curriculum in humanities in the country.Chilarai College has the vision to open film studies ans mass communication in near future;the club would try to develop some basic infrastructure through its activities.Facilities of the club are open exclusively for interested members only.For membership students are requested to contact Prof.Alakesh Ch Roy,Depatment of Assamese,co-ordinator,Film Club at Dept.of Assamese.
CURRENT AFFAIRS FORUM
Current Affairs Forum is a special interest club dedicated to developing leadership qualities of our students through debate competition, panel discussion on current topics, guest lecturers on current issues etc.Interested students may contact for membership and other information with the forum.
LITERARY CIRCLE
To promote literary talents and creativity of students,the college has a Literary Forum .The forum publishes annual journals among other activities. Interested students are advised to contact the Circle Co-Ordinator , Anowarul Alom Sarkar(Asstt.Prof,Dept.of Philosophy) for membership and other details.
DRAMA SOCIETY
Chilarai College has has a special unit dedicated to drama studies and performance. The Drama Society organizes Drama Workshop, Drama Performances and the like.Dr Umesh Das(Dept.of Assamese),is the Co-Ordinator of the society. 8. ART AND HOBBY CENTRE The college is planning to start an Art and Hobby Centre for our students where students will be imparted certificate courses on Painting,Sculpture,Soft Toy Making,and Doll Making etc.Students can contact in the office for details.
ACADEMIC COUNCIL
The college has formed an Academic Council led by Mr Nitai Chandra Roy,Associate Professor(HOD),Assamese,as Co-Ordinator,to monitor over all academic activities of the college.
COLLEGE MAGAZINE AND WALL MAGAZINE
Chilarian,the annual magazine and wall magazine of the college are published by the Students’ Union of the college and the respective departments.Best writing of the different categories are selected through the magazines for Literary Awards of the college.
ALLIED CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
The College has been regularly organizes special programmes on Debating,Quiz,Library and Musical events in the College to promote students to develop their personality and talent.
