Profile:

Chilarai College is an institution located in Golakganj, Dhubri, Assam, India. Name d after the historical figure Chilarai, a general of the Koch dynasty, the college aims to provide higher education to the students in the region. Chilarai College came into existence on January 26, 1973. Management is being a popular subject and it is introduced as per the recommendation of the NAAC peer team. It is also notable that, Chilarai College is first in the Dhubri District, which has introduced the BBA Course in the year 2013. Since inception the department is trying to address significantly enhance the educational experience, academic outcomes, and overall efficiency. From the very beginning the department has been trying to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a vast majority of young aspiration in this socio-economically backward Indo-Bangladesh border area .The department is not only helps students to secure well-paying jobs but also prepares them for the real world. There are provisions of remedial classes for slow learners students. It has a strong and compact faculty to quench the thirst of knowledge of the students.

Activities

The department of Management Studies left no stone unturned to impart quality teaching. The department adopts the interactive and participative methods for teaching learning .The students are encouraged to interact and be responsive during the classroom teaching. Interaction mode is one of the ways of internal assessment of student. The teachers as well as the students are not allowed to carry mobile phones during the classes as it deviate the focus of learning. The department has adopted the ICT tools for teaching learning. The faculty members of the department are well access to ICT, hence the department frequently conducts classes through PPT, study materials are shared through WhatsApp group and learning management system (LMS). The students are encouraged to participate in the different competitions like the cultural rally, debate completion, quiz competition, extempore speech, essay writing etc. organized during annual college week so that they can enhance their capabilities sought to arouse confidence. The students and the teachers of the department take part in extension activities /community engagement like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan etc.
